3 May Thursday
overcast morning threatening afternoon
and stormy evening with strong
S or SE wind and some snow.
This morning got from the store
everything that I could for my
furskimos, adding sugar coffee &
cloth to their list and more tobacco
than I expected to get, prices
being lower here than I supposed
that they would be - Abel and
Kahpa got away about noon.
Paid each man 13.50 to come who
is the regular fixed rate for the
journey from Tasiisaq.
Dr. Breyden examined my
heart and lungs this after
noon and said that I seemed
to him to be in very good condition
probably benefited by my trip
table to go on all night -
Gov. Vinterberg put his seal on
my furskimos - (Vinterberg)
