57 26 April Thursday Beautiful almost cloudless day with considerable low haze - comparatively warm but was coolish till 2pm on account of occasional light S or SE breeze. Up about 5 and fished on my own shore shot at 7-10 but was overtaken in an hole. (Cols Holms) We were not off Wilcox Head last night but off our island - Now at 4pm we are not "off" this entrance (Really am SW of it.) and about a brief mile SW of it. Devil's throat looks up in NW. I now am nearly across Melville Bay again - 19 deep in morning the day has more been cool. The whole as yesterday was thorough foggy has been bad all the time and I got into the worst hole yet following E - K being on course a good way ahead & I driving the Kohr smoothly. I walked ahead for about an hour & stopped beside this big berg at 4 o'clock. When the Kohr passed out of someone thought he was a ferry or the sledges were slipping & started in a wild pace - Came back to some more ice. Jarrchingway & Kolodennie
