1 frozen meat from the chunks on the meat rack. About 2 o'clock Genevieve + two small boys began digging the snow away from the entrance and window of Metis's igloo. The igloo had been closed for along time and there was much frost in it. This 2 + 7 cleaned out as well as they could and at 3 o'clock two pri mar stores were set going to dry it out and warm it. We improved the chance to make tea + have some crisp biscuits. K + J and two boys went up to a little lake near by where IK dug a hole through the ice in the bottom of a hole already there and we brought down water. Metis's igloo is large, clean + in excellent condition - Seems quite like a palace after the last 13 nights on McEvilly Bay. Of which we spent in the little tent Thursday (13th) crossing its bay. Kolodensara presented us with a 30-lb chunk of narwhal which we proceeded to chop at and eat from - This also provides us with the best slab for the remaining lamps of the igloo. 22 April Sunday. B, calm and "Miss Bill" is Metis's wife, hence I must have seen her at Petrauk.
