NB - On Melville Bay Kolootengaq told me that sah(g) was the word for current and that the name of this place was Sah(g)wahdi = "place of a current". This corresponds with the Mak name of "Sarfalik", with same meaning; for the South Greenland word for current is Sarfak. Other derivation from silkuak, or sea pigeon, therefore, is a misconception due to faulty pronunciation
