Clay in upper (Dakota?) beds is thin and silty. Definitely more than one bed. Trace on photo approximates position of these. No clay worthy of note. stratig. - Both 1st & 3rd sandstones thick. 1st has persistent chert-qtz cqltc coarse ss. at base. Discont. exposed (poorly) only at N end of hotback.
