7. Measurement of 1st Glencarn here - 55.0, solid cliff, even bedded - cross bedded fine gr. brown weather. 8. Section down from base of 1st Glencarn (Kessler) 9.0 Shale zone, obscured by wash, shows whitish clay crust with Fe layers 2.3 Sandstone, fine gr., irregular bedded, orange brown weather ss. Lower 2-4 inches red Fe cemented cap on underlying SS. 2.6 Sandstone, lite gray, fine gr., irreg lumpy massive bed. Weather with orange + brown streaks 2.1 Black shale, with silty partings --- 16.0 Sandstone, soft, fine-gr irregular bedded, light gray, finely disseminated clay matter throughout. Weathers with yellowish cast, festooned joints. 2.8 Interbedded silty claystone, dirty, fine gr. SS lite gray, + dk gray argill siltstone. Bentonite-like zone 0.5 from top. 5.0 Sandstone, double bed of fine gr., mottled light + dk gray, irregular bedded muddy, weathers yellow cast, partly argill siltstone in middle part. 2.6 Gray argill siltstone as silty clay, 1.3 Sandstone, fine gr to silty, similar to 5.0 above. 1.0 Slabby gray argill siltstone with oil bentonite-like clay at base 4.0 Interbedded fine-gr SS, platy argill, finely carb, and argill siltstn.
