K L M N1 O1 P Total 38,95 0.3-0.5 40± 41.0 41.3 41.0 2.0 32.4 Bentonite-like clay [Sample 3] Variable layer, siltstone from 0.1 to 0.3 grading to interlaminar shelly silts, & Silty clay black clay, with local pockets liquid shale. Siltstone + fine ss, massive lute grey, with local partings dk gray silty shale. Whole is locally even-bedded unit. Thickens locally to 7'ft Sandstone, fine grained, lute gray. Shelly argill. gray siltstone, minor very silty sh. Clay bed, upper foot silty shelly + argill. siltstone, lower foot is dk or to black clay, four plastic, finely silty, sharp testa (Sample 4.) Top of massive D2Aot > SS Not o - Beds N, O & P become shelly south from tunnel where section measured - in first pillar of open cut section of N,O,P chiefly silty shale with thin siltstone beds. (3) Main clay bed here but highly silty. No basal bentonite exposed. Few inches infrafrom cap of good soft flinty et top 1B with siltstone. If this minor below it is better at depth than on coop. This stuff NG. Sandstone above clay has laminated silty zones, some argill. D evident may be small beds coming back May 60 lower 3p/x 56
