To north claystone zone thickens and contact is between ss & ss and difficult to put finger on. 19. Clay bed here. Crop indicates plastic with flinty layers in top, about 4', It is the uppermost of the 3 small clays under the Dakota. May be worth prospecting here though thin. Note- Glenczurn-Lytle contact:- In this area some difference from Turkey Creek section where it is blsh. on weather claystm. Here SS unit, loc. coltc, lies between 3rd Glenczurn sand and weather clstu/ or Fe capped Lytle-type sand. This unit resembles Lytle in its massive - x bedded structure, but commonly more dense & compact like overlying sands. Also tends to weather to brown rather than pink/orange brown as in Lytle sands. At AIN-49-06, 1, The 3rd Glenczurn sits in sharp contact on this SS + 4th shale out. SS unit also sits directly on Fe cap of Lytle & weather clstu out. 3.
