Berkeley, Feb 28 - Monday At 9 A.M. started out to see once more the great city of San Francisco. Crossed on the Southern Pacific Ferry and then on by trolley to Cliff House on southern side of the Golden Gate, demanded an entrance to San Francisco Lagoon. Had some sand clubs at the Cliff House. Have a great deal of the San Fran- ciscan series in the seen. It is a highly folded and crumpled series, much jointed marbles and some less metamorphosed. Its not altered enough to be Portuguese marble, but parts of it may well be Paleozoic marble. However for present needs it will be best to regard it as Jurassic and Triassic. The Luther Museum near Cliff House is an antiquated museum and if no price. Is connected with Luther Baths. Then walked through part of Chinatown and bought two driles for 3 1/2 cents. Rode back to Berkeley and the Carlton Hotel at 4 P.M. Packed up and then read until lawn time. Left at 8,19 P.M. for Oregon,
