Berkeley, Friday Feb 25. Prepared most of the day to give a lecture this afternoon on San Paloguo Graphic Maps are Made. The day is dark but without rain, At 4 P. M. gave the lecture to about 40 men (2 ladies). Went to the Morris after supper. Berkeley, Saturday Feb 26. A cold clear sunny morning. The first fine day in two weeks. And not! To my railway ticket and then out of the Campasillo to see me once more to environs of San Francisco - Oakland- Berkeley. A vast field of houses around a very shallow bay - a drained lagoon. car thump to a number of large and active factory goes. The people are offi- or my automatic cial of their day, but one that comes but once or twice in a lifetime.
