East of Tijuana the out crops show distinct sea cut cliffs, one level after another rising inland. The coastal shelf appealed to me my manner. From Tuma it is 220 miles to San Diego - across the Imperial Valley and the Mts - extensions of the Sierra Nevada. Put up at Hotel Maryland. Drove over to the California Building in Balboa Park to see the Ogden Library. The lady Librarian - a college graduate - showed me the three large shelves, and to choose I got to model. Just how complete the library is in regard to West Coast geology did not appear clear. The Librarian is Mrs Barlow. Lorling E. from Balboa Park we saw fan to the E. high Mt's fan far in the S. (Mexico) to fan in the N. The out crops formed on the San Diego-Canyon R.R. are the same Mts. All in M peaks, there is no flat dry-line.
