"Causapscal, Thursday, August 22 - 1929
At 8 A.M. went about 1/2 mile S and then as much E up a steep rise. Due dark blue lining of are exposed and schistose as usual followed by the road and within 55, Dr. took got about ten species of what look to me like real Oristany. But Chacks
Rennelacria n.A. (up to one inch long), Chmits like onelmica, dif-
frent lines of Spirifus and the Anchisrevinus sort. Saw my Lep.
flabellites but hardly L. emeara, nor any regular Oristany
species. These ol may be terminal Heldburian.
Then tried the large road side exposures about one mile south
of Causapscal, but found it too dirty to see fossils. Colled for
one flab Chmites.
Then looked at the R.R. cut in ss to the north of the station and
a layan me about 1/3 mile north of the former. Saw my fossils, but
Crict may got in the first cut one Leptocrelia flabellites and two
Chmits like onelmica. Time Oristany.
In the afternoon visited H. to Angui on the Boulevard
and then crossed the Matapedia and came S. along the north side. Ex-
aminial a number of outcrops and at four places got either Lep,
flabellites, Crelopina emeara, or Chmits like onelmica but flat. All
is though Lower Devonian and as far as the fossils show all is upper
Low. Dev.
As far we see no fossil evidence of the Silurian.
