9/12 MAGOTHY Fm interbedded Ernstin Rd x Garden State Pkwy Interbedded unctuous dark grey clay. (Carbohydrous) w med grained IT grey ss. Some stained yellow Ferruginous) Clean ant samples

4/2/91 9/13. OLD Hylton PIT SITE HYLTON, N.S. N. INDUSTRIAL PARK Beside School left turn off Hylton Road. Mostly filled area in vacant lot to N. of built up industrial park. dolomite ap. light grey med gr. silt X silty lt. grey clay interbeds some limonite staining. Might be worth keeping an eye on this area in future but looks fairly hopeless. DAY 2 of FIELD TRIP New Haven to Odessa Delaware

4/3/91 Loc. 914 W. O. TAYLOR. Deep Cut on Chesapeake x Delaware Canal 2' below contact w Columbia gravel... upper 1-1.5' yellow brown weathering zone in Merchantville then a dark greenish grey mic, glauconitic siltst below. This is in a small pit on upper side of upper access road about 1/4 mi east of Summit Bridge across the CB&O canal Sample dug from 1-2' into outcrop face. Merchantville Fm.

4/13/91 Loc 915 w DAVID TAYLOR OLD LOC 79103 Mauldin MTN. IN ELK NECK STATE PARK Abt 80' above Chesapeake Bay on slumped face of slope. ELK NECK BELS OF DORWAY FM Sapindopsis new sp.I PHYNODI 1941 TRINERVATE LEAF oblong CELASTROPHYLLUM W close serrations conifer needles (short) lignitized & chrozonized wood. Rith is a dark grey to med unctuous CLAY.

4/4/91 Loc. 916 HRUSKA CONE SITE ON PAINT BRANCH 1 1/2 mi S. of the crossing of Md. Rte 193 & US 10 on EAST BANK Channel deposits consisting mainly of X bedded coarse to med. SS, w/ clay interbeds + mats of woody frags. Cone found. Site is from 3 to 5' above level of creek. PATUXENT Fm. - Potomac Group lower zone I Berremin WASHINGTON F1/5 7 1/2 min.

This is the SITE of Doyles ZONE IIA Kenilworth SAMPLE. WASHINGTON EAST 71/2 QUAD CHANNEL fill is abt. 5' thick JOYS at top our sample from about 2 1/2' below joy mt. THIS WAS MY F.T. STOP. 2. SECTION here. This is ZONE IIA WASHINGTON EAST 7 1/2 Quad.
