Tucson, Jan. 15-1924, Tuesday. Last night made an engagement with Dean Butler to meet him at 10 A.M. Waited on him in my office to find out that he just then are. At about 11:30 detour car to Ashmore Douglas home to see if could get a room there. Had a room that I liked, but Mrs Douglas (teaches Spanish) would not rent for less than $5 months. As far as I chose to get into a furnisher near the University, and then made an arrangement to take room 230 in the Santa Rita hotel. Moved in in the same afternoon and unpacked all my luggage. Then wrote to Severn and Emma. The room is to cost $50 per month, otherwise 2 1/2 Sunday.
