Washington, D.C. Dec 31 1923 Monday.
Had a cab take me to dep't to check my baggage, and then up the Interior Building to see Keith's office. He is at work on a geography of Maine. The big job due is the physiographic map, as that one was we made before. The map is about finished.
Spend the rest of the day in the U.S.G.S. library reading The Pan American Soil. I suppose I will have to subscribe to it. Miss LePeres translation of Lierres paper is accredited to me.
Looked up this journal mainly to read Dumble on the value of forms in sub surface correlation. Spent out all I wanted.
At 4:35 P.M. jam off for Cincinnati.
