Marathon, March 16-1924, Sunday. Spent all day mainly 4½ miles out on D.P. R.P. to study the Tesnus formation, see other book for detail. March 17-1924, Monday. Too tired to make an all day trip. So looked for a Ford car and man to take metmannus to go over the Leonard Mt section. Will charge eight dollars per day. In the afternoon walked south of Marathon about 1½ miles to study the Paleozoic areas as exposed along the road cut ups and in the fields to the east of the road. Got enough points to show one that I am in the Trentman series. See other note book for detail.
