GIANT REPTILES TO
BE SCHUCHERT TOPIC
Dr. Carl Schuchert of Yale, visiting
professor in stratigraphy at the
University of Arizona from Yale,
will speak this evening, at 8 o'clock,
in the University auditorium, on
"The Giant Reptiles of the Medieval
World." The public is invited to
attend this lecture, which is free.
Dr. Schuchert is a noted paleon-
tologist and historical geologist, a
member of the National Academy of
Sciences, and an author of several
books on paleontology and geology.
He has been conducting a series
of lectures at the University during
the winter.
The lecture will be illustrated with
slides obtained from the Yale Uni-
versity Press service. It is ex-
pected that a large number of win-
ter visitors will take advantage of
the opportunity given to hear
Schuchert, according to Prof. E. R.
Riesen, who is directing the Wednes-
day evening series of the university.
