ECS-90-1 SAMPLE, l grey, vfg, qz ss, w/ intramed clasts - for lith slide. Shales - shales up to 50cm thick. Base of cycle # 7 is coarse pebble conglomerate mix clasts 5cm's moderately well-rounded. Overlain by Xb SS lining up to vfg ss and a 30cm thick mud drape, defining a submarine channel side. More thin brgown stringers Interp - Turbidity flow - close to a turbidity channel. With much plant wash from deltas over mouths. Active bioturbation at base. [PMAG ECS-10] [O.8m from base.] Slide photos of base, conglomerate, Turbidity channel feature + general photo Unit # 2 Shale dark grey, poorly 5.6m fissile, partially covered. Unit #3 VFG ss, medium grey/salt 1.3m & pepper ss. Strongly ripple cross laminates. Burrowed in upper /// 10cm. Some fine black plant fragments. Parallel laminated to top with some soft brown bioturbate stained bedding. A one-event unit [PMAG ECS-11 at] [1.1m from base.]
