The beds about 8 feet above the water contain Orthoites and the O. minor and some fragments of other Trilobites such as C. lownesi and C. cally- minoides. Fossils too fine for any purpose. Sep 2 The layer accessible to me around Salamonie at the Centuri locality appears to be equivalent to the Menominee trilobite bed in which C. lownesi occurs. Plates of Crinoides or Oys- tides are very abundant here from their seams in the Sandstone. The other fossils common to the
