Templemore Aug. 30 Collected on the cliff just north of this village in the St. Tillphite bed. See Owen section of the region. The bed seems to be not less than 4 feet thick. The comm. must appear in Lo. spiniger. Immediately above, only from feet apart is the dolomitic horizon containing another lot of fossils with 10 spiniger in it. Still stratigra- phically equivalent to the lower bed of the Oseola horizon. In the afternoon looked over the north end of the range at one of the branches of the Temple- more river. Here that the slate are fine shales with C. whitfieldii.
