The lower magnesian fossils there are from a sheet band about 30 feet from the top of the 120 foot division. Elsewhere I did not see a fossil. The Trenton shales are here exposed as soars thin over at this before two year ago. They are cementing and hardly do but thick folded by a thick series of shelly limestone. On a creek I saw some Rectocellus showing that the Galen or true Trenton soon follows the green shale band.
