"Elm Chaos of Havana Elm" 54
It appears that the disturbance
by which this part of Havana Elm is
owned to many, is a fault right up axis
something quite clear. In the north and the Elm Chaos is an
about 20 feet long by approximately
1/2 in depth, extending for about 38'
(Length) and meets N and S (N 29 W)
Cliff forming the corner in N West part.
The glen 50' East of the even on
the E and W wall (which by the way is covered
from within 12' to top within a further
foot mat), and is covered to the is a still higher
foot wide covered all the way up. On each
side of this slip, the strata is more or less tilted while on
each side drops 50'. The rock on either
side of the conglomerate is so uniformly
while that there is no bend that may
be traced with any degree of certainty.
In this Elm Chaos, the line
of fault I was I only able whenever
station in place coming in contact with
the horizontal strata of the red wall
but the tilted strata was from 45' to
or 70 at extreme northern part of C. and to
about 1 m southern part.
On East side farthest from the strata
are turned up on edge at an angle of 45'
while in it, a little farther (30)
with a dip of 29 east
Direction highest tilted strata N. 20 W.
