80 Aug. 13 (Saturday). To Manchester (?) But little new collected at the regular place: Lespedeza angustifolia, Solidago, Cassia chamaecrista. Examined territory along rd, but nothing interesting. Aug. 14 (Sunday). Dried plants on road e. of Beersheba. In meadows collected Xyris torla, Panicum bipiplinum, Coscyra stans, Tmilistyles juncea sp., Hab- eria cratocilium, N. integra (?), etc. Aug. 15 (Monday). To Blue Hole n Sny's Farming ford on Cedar R. near Altamont. On Swamp E side rd - Ogne verticellata (nat) in bloom). Saw pump on west side - Xyris, Panicum verrucosum, robusta Phleis virginica; in adjacent O. virginica woods to s. - Tipularia Botan. Potygine? (Wet pine cop.) Blue Hole: S.S. grove. Holly, Rhododendron, Cory Kalmic trees; Dry plants Opulese var. intermed; Drum- steadie on s.s. bleffs, Cep acanula in Rhododendron- Kalmic thicket, Comus bractea stolt in stream and Stea. Peculiar Rypas neldocarpa with Cory juicy fruits (not fortunately fruiting); Mag. macrophylla. Solidago casnic var. on rocky banks, Kevdrona villosa, Aug. 16 (Tuesday). Dried plants on Beersheba Rd. - collected Cassia victoriae, Hypericum socyrena byfrenda (deamberg), Suter aff. fradinomous.
