World near s-w corner Kelwood. 2 hrs, neither divided but general look like (hairiness etc) very like undoubted V. triloba nearby and the cleist. capsule exactly like V. triloba (ped. hori- zontal, underground; capsule ovoid, purplish dotted) of of with the much more nearly glabrous of 2 V (planted) east side house (assumed to be V. papilionacea). Only other poss to consider is V. sororia Willd. 7-10-38 Oryzopsis racemosa Richer G 133; BvB I 175 Bud. woods south of drive (close near house). Exactly as desc. [7-25-38 Lemma v palea now "dark colored" but hidden by glumes. 10-23-38 Fr. "black". 7-10-38 Taxus canadensis Marsh G 62; AvBI 67
