Same as 6-16-38 "In thick firm" (G) prod is comparison to "C. grisea" where lower this sort as our plant has 2 no thicles of fine than most sedges. Sealesill (BVB). Culm overlapped ped by bracts but as in "C. grisea" the uppermost bract is often short & overlapped but slightly. Style jointed as in "C. grisea." General aspect of 2 species very much the same. Distinctives are: C. grisea: sheaths very sharp angled; less soft & spikes few fl. IN B See 6-25-38 ?? laxiflora C. glaucoidea: glaucous. 6-24-38 Pyrola elliptica Nutt G 627; BVB II 669 Bud. Woods south drive fence [7-25-38 Fl young fr. Several plants with Actaea alba, north drive] 6-24-38 Gerardia flava L. G 130 = Dasyctoma - wood BVB II 206 Very early bud. So drive, in woods, towards road. Less exactly as ill (BVB) and calyx & corolla (at anemo 7, filaments hairy, antlers around base) point definitely to this [7-10-38 Fr. Same place where plants are frequent.
