to be half-opened flo that species later of small specg P.ch from bet House & Hill. Style straight, deflexed but not curving upward, 5mm long (P.cl.-7mm). Stigma exactly as desc(G) for P.minor v P.secunda (P.cl- as desc G.). Style tip is visible beyond tips of petalae (perhaps 1mm or more) Disks (under ovary?) none. Lvs thick(about as in P.cl.-) but rounder usually in shape at apex, 1/2-2cm long on petioles 2-3 cm. Raceme 6-7 fld, now is not secund (might be later). All this points to P.minor L. (Objections are that P.minor should be white or pinkish and has more northerly range. W.F. & N.Y. p 194-5) does not list it for N.Y.) Anther cells seem as distinctly contracted into a neck (G) as P.cl. G628 by BIF.670 If this is not P.minor the only pos seems to be a cross bet. P.chlorantha and P.secunda or even Monoles uniflora. Lvs even rounder tipped than ill(B1B)g P.m- Style exactly as ill (B1B) of P.m - ie stigma only slightly broader than the str at style, not as in ill of P.secunda NB. This is beginning to fl 2 wks after P.chlorantha which is now almt past.
