VII 3432 v Helleborine latifolia Druce S.VI/167 all referring to some plant which R.B.K. found in Suisse? See 7-30-33 and 7-4-34.) St. 18in. high. Spikes 9in. high (upper bracts) x 2 in. wide. Fls at least 32; Fl 15mm wide (at tips of lateral sepals). These sepals being 12-13 mm long. Sepals & petals of blended pale green y pale mauve but still as much differentiated in sepals v petals as in all Coriara Pl III. R.B.K's Suisse note apply except 7-4-34 as to anthers. In our plant the back (anther is the part left when pollen is removed) is conspicuous, 3 x 2 x 2 mm., movable as it is attached by a very slender base. 7-25-38 Desmodium canadense DC G521: Meibom- ia canadensis Kuntze BvB II 401 Fl. Big clump on J drive, near road. (Fls collected from same plant in June) at 4ft. stout, ridged v vertically striped with red. Fls 13 mm from per base to tip of keel. The large rate bracts (BvB) subtend groups of fls and in addition each group has 2 narrow linear bracts (one on each side). Stipules linear-lanceolate, about 7mm. Whole plant looks v feels rough.
