wrangles; length of corolla lobe (M) not decisive.
S.S - Nutt prob is species illv desc. by T as S. bellata
Benth see p. 878. Our plant very like all. Ring of hairs
is at middle of corolla tube on back; much lower in
front where constriction forms a tiny pouch.

arcana Jepson T978. Note glandular tooth on each
side of calyx lobe at base. Corolla 1cm from base of tube
to tip of lower lip. Lower lip has greenish-yellow
center bordered with white, lobes violet-blue.
