respect to bistleov prickles, as can not be Torilis) Fr.
flattened {slightly} laterally. 5 ribs densely white-bristle
4 rib with prickles with stellate barbs at apex.

(A) Fl. L.T.C.C.H. on Wooden place edge road where intro-
duced weed might be found. Flo red, Bractlet at well
brachied. Plant pubescence to prob somewhat glandular.
(B) Fl. L.T.C.C.H. ? S. Clevelandii Robins T360; M163. Fl white.
this differs from (A) in that lvs are decidedly longer
than internodes (the lves hve 3-4 times as long) and the
conspicuous, acuminate, silvery stipules often as
long or longer than internodes. Infl. a few flo gyme
at end of st. Upper part of v.infl. viscid-glandular.
Seeds "winged" not winged [even in some pod] (J)
