Fl. Ocotillo (very common) seen frequently 12-21v22-38
near Phoenix, Ariz, no fl or fr, v from train 12-25-38.

A) At Banner. Resembles plant 3-23-37 (as remembered)
But note a) v low very finely hairy. The purple glands
edged with very narrow line of white. Info 5mm long
B) At Ocotillo. Fl lobes same as (A). Pubescence same as (A)
low to 2mm. long giving plant a much finer, lacy
look. (In neither A nor B did R.B.K. count stamens (?)

Nat. Hist. Mus. list for 4-8-39)
