gracilis Hell J 1113; M 561). Loose thickish & def. rounded
offset at apex, often 3mm wide (sometimes 2 mm).
Pappus of 2 (sometimes 3) awns. Achenes promises to be hairy.

M. considers error in J.) Plants of all sizes to 2 ft tall with
many branches, roots 2.5cm wide. General effect of these
tall bushy plant quite dif from those of 3-2-39 but R.B.K.
has no question as to same species.

seeds brown & papillae evident (20), in this dif from apec.
of 3-9 (seeds black, shining salmost smooth (20).) but general
look of plant as well as pedicels, sepals & capsule
