Lomatium lucidum Jepso. J 720; M 358 Early fl. Torrey Pines Park. (Mr. G. calls it "Hog-Fennel.") Stems very short. 3-11-39 "Elderberry" No fls fr [6-13-39 Pointed out by Mr. G "Red Berry" a shrub. No fls fr. In app. in Torrey Pines Park. "Lady-Fingerg" a low succulent plant. No fls fr. [See 4-24-39 Echeveria edulis. A 3-20-39 Lycium Californicum Nutt J 890; M 454 Flv muripe fr. La Jolla, Hermosa coast. Exactly as dese [4-4-39 Fr. Pacific Beach. Fr. red, 2 seeded, 4mm diam. A H 3-20-39 Platystemon Californicus Benth var nutans Brandy J 398; M # 179 Flv adv. fr. L.J.H. Coast. Exactly as ill (M) [4-4-39 Fl. Pacific Beach. Some fls had cream-colored petals tipped with yellow. 4-6-39 Crown Point Fls as large as 25 cent piece, largest yet seen. [ofs] 3-20-39 ? Junceus bufonius h. J 200; M 81 Fl., L.J.H. coast. Tiny plants, 2 cm high. Almost surely this tho R.A.K wasted much time having to place them elsewhere [as both as ill (M) is. sepals & petals longer than the rounded petals. [5-14-39 Fr. Kearny Mesa]
