3-6-39 plant but M148 says "D.interior" v149 seems to ex. clude poss. of S.D. seedlode. * [see note 3-9-39 Mimalis lacus] [see 6-5-39 3-6-39 Lotus Nuttallianus Greene J555; M260 FL Mission Beach. 3½ to 5½ ft long, prostrate, much branched, forming in places, dense mats (R.B.K., when collecting, assumed it was a perennial but no perennial in Magres with the plant) standard red or black. Wings longer than keel & fully as long or longer than standard giving corolla a very crub-nose effect [6-5-39 FLs. v.flo. Mission Beach. Ident. sure. 3-6-39? Onosthera micrantha Horneum J684; M342 FL Mission Beach. Open space across street car tracks from Amuse- ment Center. General look of plant, lf & fl. resembles it looks like miniature of O. bistorta 3-2-39 with which cfd. Petales 3mm long, some (at least) w/1 black spot at base. Pods (young) quadrangular, thickest v.less alternate towards tip and already showing tendency not to be straight. (Pods of O. bistorta & equal age slender, alternate v. (at least in some cases) straight) [see 5-10-39 [see L. virginicum] 3-23-39 as to cotyledons [see 4-4-39 3-6-39 Lepidium lasiocarpum Nutt J440; M190 FL co mripe ft. With above. Plants now to 3 in high. Only one at from base (J says "many") but branching low on st. Petales "minute" (I) found, shorter than a petals. with which cfd has petals longer than sepals can be seen.
