Not A. diversifolia because do not "green volining above"; not A. brevice because do not revolute, not A. glauca because vary not glabrous.. Lvs oval to oblong, often erect, very sharp of flat, gray-green both sides, sparsely puberulent (20x) Branchlets finely puberulent but not "setae-lispid"(M). (This suggests A. canescens v ligules alt. (M). Our lvs are not soft.) Glands prsbd none. Corolla fringed faintly pink, to 7mm, long, greatly constricted at mouth. Calyx lobe oblong, obtuse, glabrous, finely ciliate. Filaments dilated v conspicuously (20x) hairy at base. Very densely covered with straight, rather stiffish, white hairs. Anthers darker brown. Dials ovarioid [Ms. Gr 3-3 says prsbd correct as species found in that general locus] [3-11-39 Fl Torrey Pines Park Branchlets "setae-lispid"] 2-28-39 Brassica campestris L J423; M 194 Fl v adv. fr. Roadside east ? Del Mar. Corolla 15-18mm in diameter, ie petals 9-12mm. Hence much larger as well as somewhat brighter yellow) than B. incana of 2-25-39. 2-28-39 Raphanus sativus L J422; M 194 Fl with above. Petals purple with veins still darker or white with veins pale.
