is to 14mm high (overall) by 14mm wide (when meas. with wings flattened) B) [illegible] young fr. Mission Beach Only one spec. col. on bay side near limit of vegetation. Too much thicker than A) & plant more hairy & sticky to touch. Leaves not sinuate. Bracts to 10mm. Buds look as this flower might be smaller & darker than A). Oldest fr. now 9mm long, its wings narrow & thick (i.e. more like ridges than wings in comparison with A). But all this may change as fr. develops. If A) & B) are diff. species I feel B) is Arionium marinum Nutt. J337; M'148' 6-5-39? A triplex leucophylla Dietr. J 326; M 139 ♀ of blo adv. fr. Mission Beach, bay side about 1 block south of Announcement Center. As to color & surf. v general appearance got. v low this is same as A) J 4-4-39 then guessed at as A. decumbens Wats: A. Watsonii Nels (I so guess J 4-4 was wrong: (1) plants monoecious & (2) bracts def. warty) Lvs to 2.5cm long. Alt. (presumably all this same on secondary branches so close together they seem of pts.) Bracts 7mm long and e.x.t.s. not nearly as "globose" as ill(J); warts conspicuous. The 3 merms I got plainly seen as they dry. This seems only found in M. [6-21-39 Flore Pacific Beach, foot of Loring St. Fl. & A) valv. fr. F2. def. globose. Ident sure.
