In the evening, the Sales Bear feeding station was visited. Eleven grizzlies had been there during the evening. The female with 2 cub came in late. The cub climbed a tree to stay tthere while the mother ate. Curiously as she appeared to send them up the tree b sniffing loudly (like a brush on a coarse surface). After eating for about 15 min. she was driven from the platform by an late comer. After definitely retreating, she sniffed in the same harsh manner, & t young ones immediately came down. To every pres interpretation, this was clearly a language communication! Three swans were also seen behind the sandbar about 4 miles east of West Plum along the highway. Dr. Kelly reported see them there about 5 days previously!
