Molly Island mpson 263. Yellowstone June 26, 1932. Trip to Molly Island. Party of: Mr. Madsen, Miller & Foster; Mr. Madsen, Al Elliott, Frank Anderson, Thompson. Young Calif Gulls were running all over the island. Some got in the water & swam about; Young Pelicans, still naked, were out. But the hatching was not complete in either gull or pelican colonies. Census disclosed the following: Pelican nests 103 " eggs 58 " young 121 Sixty-nine young gulls were banded. Bandnumbers were 618632 - 618709 inc. The lake had risen so much that the southwest Canada goose nest was flooded. All geese nests were empty. One cormorant nest still had 1 egg. Two cormorants were seen flying away as we [illegible] arrived. Terns / Terns were again seen, also 2 Skullets, Phalaropes & Spotted Sandpipers (these latter three on Pelican Island!)
