The country between Juliacca
& Santa Rosa was uniform
grass velds over a wide vale.
Very little cultivation was seen,
the country being grazed by
department sheep in large
flocks. Some cattle + pigs
were seen. Birds were seen
along forest, forest meadows.
Many Culls, some coots + Black
Dros. Scaled birds were very rare.
Stopped at Santa Rosa at 1 Pm
for lunch. No trees seen
anywhere. Absence due for
birds to grass. Some hawks
seen a hillsides near
Turipata Sta. Began to
