FRI. 19. Ther. 100 Weather, Clear.
Crossed the John Day R.
and camped near by
To sport the other side
of the river a little.
Four the shorellers. Duck in
a slough near the river
wing down. Set a few
traps along the rocks
near camp.
SAT. 20. Ther. Weather, Fine.
Left camp about 8 o'clock
and ascended the ridge
intending to make
Indielpop about 15 miles
but reached
the summit we thought
we ought to drink a
little so camped about
11 o'clock. Set out some
traps and took a 5. mall's
and shot a shrike.
SUN. 21. Ther. Weather, Fine
Stayed in camp.
Barley went down to Caledo
with the team. Got some
meat which we badly needed.
Found deer of Nezidogs in
the cliffs.

MON. 22. Ther. Weather, Fine
Some that there was a
rest of precisely was our
Camp 17 set traps for
them and caught 1 shot
seven beltrims and left
Camp shortly afternoon &
went down to Caledo &
Found Cleveland all
trailing for us. Camped
near John.
TUES. 23. Ther. Weather,
Left camp early and
walked all day. Camped
at night not very far
from Day Creek. Made
about 28 miles, but
walked much farther
myself. Nearly 35-
feet in bad shape.
WED. 24. Ther. Weather,
Left early for Pomerelle
Ridge for a change &
other reasons. Got to
Pomerelle moderately
early and got some
forrkorns. Camped
not far from John.
