Friday - Feb 24/99 - Bees had
found 1 egg in one of the
Alumni Rock nests on 19th
so I was to collect the
set tonight. left Sawyer
at 4:17 by wheel. Had a
hard & hurried ride out
to the Creek where I left
wheel and went up for
view of creek bottom. The
sun sets early in such a
deep canyon so I rushed
along over roots and
boulders to the falls
which I reached about
6 pm. I could see the
eagles' nest on the cliff and
climbed into the branch
through the brush below
