Stem definitely flexuose, plant looks perennial though,
roots lacking, considerably branched 4-6 dm.
high; leaves linear, lower ones deeply lobed with
linear lobes 3-4 cm. long; whole plant glabrous;
inflrescence ca. 1 dm. long; pedicels 3-10 mm.;
fruits definitely winged, 5-7 mm. diam. with
a sinus above & below" nearly orbicular,
outer sepals coccate,
petals oblong, 6-8 mm. long.
M. chilensis "Concepcion, Bridger 1279"
looks like an annual, stems much branched,
glabrous, 3-4 dm. high, glabrous; leaves linear,
lower with long linear lobes; inflorescence ca.
1 dm. long; pedicels divar. 5-8 mm.; siliques
broadly oblong, ca. 4 mm. long, slightly winged,
with a row of tuberculate swellings on each side
of the septum, scales present inside the tuberles;
slightly stipitate, style 1-2 mm.; flowers small,
sepals 1-3 mm. long, petals narrow, almost linear,
not quite twice the length of the sepals.
