March 1 Hunted on campus 1 ¼ hrs. (6:35-7:50 AM). Windy and a little rain. All species of birds & keeping rather quiet as a result. Hunted near Ag. Hall - Bacon Hall & Pats. Bldg. Shot & secured 2 qq. Woodpige 18. Also shot by mistake a female sparrow. Saw no signs of nesting. Counts: Eng. Sp. 14 Others 57 March 2 Hunted in Campus 1 ¼ hrs (6:35-7:50 AM) Killed 3 qq and 18. Foot, one in tree, one in ivy and one in stick brush. Brought in 14. Total 4 birds. Still no signs of nesting. NOTE: Saw a Nuttall Sparrow gathering nesting material. Counts: Eng. Sp. 15 Others 53. March 3 Hunted on campus 1 ¼ hrs (6:35-7:50 AM). Shot 388. Foot one. Birds very wild. No nesting signs. Counts: Eng. Sp. 15 Others 66
