Went on campus 1 hr. (7-8 AM)
Counted thoroughly the western part
of the campus. Only Eng. Sparrows
seen here was a flock of 4 feeding
in Olive Trees near Ag. Hall. Nearly
all other varieties on campus were
feeding in large numbers upon
the Olives which are nearly ripe.
So many individuals in sight
that it was impossible to take a
census. Estimate - 300-500.
NOTE: Near Bacon Hall where it is
impossible to get near any Sparrow
at 7:30 I was within 6 ft. of 4 at
8:30. Carrying gun the same as
usual.
