with high scale - above horizon. Seemed smaller than Sooty Shearwater -

Cooler with strong northwest wind (to 25 k), deep swells (to 15 ft.),
much rolling (to 28° - hard to stay in bunk). Heavy seas, partly overcast
with several showers. Horizon usually covered. Due to near constant
spray on flight deck, observed from signal bridge. Wind was so strong it
