Soft parts colors--(7 hours after death) - bill dusky orange, brighter
orange at base, and lower edge of lower mandible, nares black with
dusky streak extending to tip. gape flesh, tarsus and 1/5 base of
toes bluish-white; rest of toes and web black.
Molt--Primaries - 1. - starting to break sheath, 1 2 - 6 - new, 17 -
1/2 length: 18-10 old. Right wing - same pattern. Tail - 1 - 1,
2,4 - new; 3, 5, 6 - old, 7 - 2 in. out of sheath. ^1, 2, 3, 7 - new;
6 - 3/4 full length; 3 - 5 - old. Secondary 15 - just breaking sheath-
rest new. Moderate, general body molt.

Warm - moderate winds, fairly calm seas (or few whitecaps - few
scattered showers.
Captain admitted cutting corners on the grid last night. Will
check fix tonight to see how much.
