MOLT-- Fresh plumage.
12/6/69 Rained during night and still raining at dawn. Ship in showers
most of day often for long periods of time - partly cloudy to completely
overcast. Wind much higher - to 25 knots. Deep swells roughest seas
we've had on any YAG trip.
0700 - watch started - rain and heavy overcast.
0727 - Bonin Island Petrel 2 ENE Not actively feeding just milling
Shearwater/petrel 1 ENE about. One bonin petrel with more
Harcourt's Storm Petrel 1 ENE black in wing than usual.
0825 Laysan Albatross 1 SE - around fantail several times
0830 - White-necked Petrel 1
0913 - Wedgetail 2 ESE
0916 - Wedgetail 8 WNW
Red-footed Booby 1 WSW
0923 - Wedgetail 2 WNW
0926 - White-necked Petrel 2 WNW
