Puerto del Triunfo, Dept, Usulutan Dec, 28, 1923 - Jan, 25, 1924 cottontail - Conejo This species was encountered by me only at night when would see their eyes reflect before my light. as compared to other mammals their reflection was not so bright. No. 10935 was shot in a cow trail which led off into a grassy pasture where there were no trees. There were two but second escaped into some tall grass when I shot. No. 10941 was killed in the plaza which was sodded nearly solid with short grass. There were many horses and cattle grazing here all the time. This specimen allowed me to approach close enough to kill it with a shot pistol. No. 11016 was shot in a corn patch where the stocks had been cut off and carried away for feed. There was much tender grass springing up here.
