(5) local. Sounmate, Salvador C. A. Nest. In a thorny bush 6' foot up built of twigs and heavily lined with leaves - fresh ones under the eggs. The eggs were in two layers and well filled the nest. The birds were extremely apious and came very close. Coll. by Alden Mills. Name: [Yellow throat] Date: July 13 1925 Ineb: advanced Identity (Male shot, lost in the bushes.) Set. Mark 13/3 local. Sounmate, Salvador C. A. Nest. In a clump of sedge grass on a steep openy grassy feature. The nest was 1 1/2' up in the 3' grass clump, but fairly near the bunchy part of the clump which was well above the ground. The material was flat sedge grass, with finer grasses for lining. The nest was much like a True yellowthroat. The bird flushed at about 2' from the clump. Nest collected. The birds of a note reminding one of a Purple Finch. The song however is warbler like yet sometimes sounds like a Hummer. Coll. by Alden Mills
