In the extreme N.W. corner of
the core near 7 well point
can exposed cone 6 or 7 feet of
tough blue shales which
along with the other beds exposed
in the core strike N 10-12° W and
Dip 26° E. A thin gallo sill
veins beneath the shale, and
next below over a series of
exposures of about 25 feet of
very dark rhyolitic trapps.
The shale at the head of the
core contain fossils which
consist almost exclusively
of small new coarse bryozoa.
