79 5.44.9 A. Coffin The south shore of [illegible] Cove neck is formed by a series of acid tuffs striking N. 140° W. at the west end and N. 22° W. near the east end. These are frequently bedded and on the east shore of a shallow cove (near east edge T 5.44.9) occurs some 20 feet of tuffaceous fragmentiferous shale, with some tuff bands containing fossils. The fauna includes: Chonetes cornutus common Leptostrophia ornatella rare Dalmanella ? spp abundant Stenoscisma ? spp "" Wilsonia wilsoni common 5.44.9 Sphyradoceras rare Cornulites occasional Calymene "" Monotrypa abundant Monticlipora common Retzia barrandei common
